School Camps

A flower is our icon that stands for the territory and the holiday in Cilento’s National Park and Vallo di Diano exclusivity and uniqueness. We choose it to recall our attention on the environmental issues.

With a flower we ask you to require yourselves for:

  • The containment of the air, water and soil pollution by the employment of eco-friendlier products.

  • The correct management and selection of the waste.

  • The decrease of energy and resources waste.

  • The biodiversity protection.

  • A healthy and well balanced diet, that mostly draws from the regional biological productions.

   
During the camps, playing and experimenting, we will spend few days in touch with the  Park’s rich environmental heritage. We will join hikes, games and workshops. We will talk about marine biology, woods, vegetable garden tastes, thanks to simple tools, worksheets and educational material. We will visit the Park as tourists, researchers, green people together with qualified operators.

First day:

Covering Cilento’s green wide valleys we will discover officinal herbs and not only, well adapted to the local weather conditions. We will discover their aromatic, medical, cosmetic and food qualities.

From the scrub to the wood

Surrounded by the highest peaks of the “Appennino campano”, proud chestnut trees take over the huge expanse of strawberry tree fruits. During the path  the sight will stop on the fertile Mingrado wide valley leaded by Bulgheria mountain. It is possible the spotting of the wood’s typical animals.

Going back to myths and legends we will have the opportunity to see the sea from different points of view, as tourists, as researchers and as green people. We will get closer to the sea environment in a string of gutters, creeks and caves of well known speleological and biological interest. On the way  the natural history of the “Tirrenico Coast” will be explained and will be done comparisons to the locations’ natural histories from which  participants are from.

Pisciotta’s olive tree and the medieval village

Across the narrow and characteristic alleys, the path develops along an itinerary which highlights the architectural peculiarities and witnesses of an ancient agriculture characterized by great olive trees. We will get in touch with the village, we will discover the ways of communication, the natural safeguard. We will go looking for  traditions, economical activities, cooking from the past and nowadays.

Summer Holiday Spots

A unique interpretation of history, environment, local architecture. An occasion to meet, experience and get in touch with yourself, rediscover the possible balance between human and nature. A journey looking for sensations, flavours, knowledge, tastes, traditions and rites of Cilento’s National Park and Vallo di Diano territory.
